Mammadov - This will boost confidence

Gabala”s Asif Mammadov talks to gabalafc.az after scoring the opener goal in the home premier league match against Ravan, where the red-black side broke the winless run of the last 5 games. The 30-year-old player says:
“There was no way but taking the victory after some winless tours. Although we were the better side on those show, the team suffered from being unable to take the game. We started the same way also in this match but fortunately could score 2 goals. On some many occasions, we failed to convert it in, and even when one shot was deflected by our own footballer. This is quite a rare case that happened during that game”.
Mammadov also kicked in his debut of the season that is one of all 6 goals in his 27 appearance. This was also his 25th goal for all Azerbaijan clubs with 213 games.
“I could not say anything about the goal as I am not satisfied by my performance. This is what comes from my hasty display. All the team were in hurry to score as we were in desperate need for win. And it doesn”t matter who scored the goal as the most important was to take the victory that will boost confidence of the team.
There are some vital matches of the championship and I should work hard to make more goals now.
Following the upcoming match against Khazar Lankaran, whore are made mostly by young players. Although they are unable to win for the last games, we are training hard against them.
Now this is their home game and we are expected by a really tough task. But we will be pushing hard towards both league awards and domestic cup”.
