Gabala taekvondo fighter of the Azerbaijan national team Mahammad Mammadov won the 29th World Summer Universiade’s bronze medal in Taiwan. The red-black hero, 63 kg, beat Edgar Porras Reyes (Mexico) by 21:5 in the round of 32, Tai Tin Wing (Hong Kong) by 29:9 in the round of 16, Venilton Torres Teixeira by 24:12 (Brazil). He lost Mirhashem Hosseyni (Iran) with 9:19 in the semifinal.
Another Gabala hero other than Mammadov is Milad Beigi Harchegani, 80 kg, defeting his all opponents and took the cup.
