Victor Mendy, scoring for Gabala against Khazar Lankaran in the return cup game in away, appears to be the most productive player for the club shooting the 24th goal of the team. He shares his first impressions with gabalafc.az saying:

"We knew the team was expected by a hard work in Lankaran after the 3:0 victory over the Khazar Lankaran. Although having a big chance to the final, we did not backed it and pushed on to hitting the target. All was just we expected, and no matter Khazar Lankaran started faster with the earlier minutes, we held on anyway. The result was ground out in our favor. Gabala moved up to the cup final for our first. We are really happy to making history for the club.

And now we should forget about this victory and get back to the league matches. Gabala are expected by much vital matches and will have all those oncoming games just like finals. I believe we will get our best result in league and finish amongst leaders".
