Gabala took trial match against Neftchi within training program during the break in the Azerbaijan Premier League as national championships games are in action. The sides met at the Ismat Gayibov stadium. Roman Grigorchuk fielded the following line-up: Dmytro Bezotosniy, Vitaliy Vernydub, Rasim Ramaldanov, Tellur Mutallimov, Dave Bulthuis, Elvin Jamalov, Asif Mammadov, Bagaliy Dabo, Andy Halliday, Ekigho Ehiosun, Ulvi Isgandarov.

The scoring deadlock was broken by Elvin Mammadov in the 23rd minute in the middle of the half period.

Both coaches made some changes in the staff. Elvin Jamalov, Ulvi Ibazadeh, Steeven Monrose, Amin Seydiyev, Famoussa Kone came on the pitch as Dave, Mutallimov, Isgandarov, Halliday and Ehiosun left the game.

Gabala’s lead was doubled after the restart as Kone scored in the 57th minute. During the second half, Dabo gave up his time to Hajiagha Haily and Bezotosniy left for Agil Mammadov. Rovlan Muradov replaced Ibazadeh and Tural Mammarzayev came on after Jamalov left. The home side fed back only one with Mirabdulla Abbasov in the closing minutes.
