Gabala Football Academy is realizing the next coach appointment signing a deal with Sahil Karimov, who has recently put an end to his player career. The keeper coach, 33, has been carrying his football activity through protecting the gates of Avtomobilchi, Vilash, Kapaz, Shamkir, Energetik, Karvan, Garabagh before finishing with Sumgayit in the last season. Now the Gabala Football Academy is his first-ever experience as a coach.

Karimov talks to gabalafc.az sharing what he feels about his new job:

“Gabala is a club having strong goals and it is really pleasure to be among its staff. Formerly, there was a high level of keeper education in Azerbaijan. But for the last times, the lack of aboriginal goalkeepers is evident on our fields.

Now my purpose is to have a share in developing strong keepers encouraging from my own past and future experiences. Reaching to this aim as a whole club, we can provide our both senior and national team with better and high level netkeepers”.
