Now this tie is more than a cup final, Grigorchuk says

Gabala’s head coach Roman Grigorchuk talks for a post-match reaction right after the 2:0 cup semifinal victory over Inter Baku at home. The Ukrainian boss says:

“The game and result satisfy us. It is all right that we have won and reached to the final. It would be hasty talk to think that we hit the tally to the final after the first tie victory by 3:1. Inter Baku are a good side and serious opponent with professional skills. So we had prepared seriously to this tie. As we were playing in a heavy program, we introduced more potential players who were in their mission not much these days. Different footballers can have chance to play on the forward.

Bagali Dabo is not ready after a long break. And Daniel Subotic needs more time to be fit to our system. We keep up the principle of introducing most ready players unchanged.

I saw some many positive moments on our show tonight. And the last match against Zira was of our best shows of the last two years and half. But we were all and out to make goal. In that match, I watches some moments very close to an ideal display.

Theo Weeks was looking more attacking in his early days with us. Now I see him asa supporting defender. Although he is very close to this position, he still needs to work on this more.

I’d not say Rashad Eyubov was poor in his tonight performance. He has to show just what he can do today and doesn’t need to think out something new.

Now the match against Qarabagh fixed to Sunday is more than a cup final. We remember our all ties with this opponent side as serious and best shows of the tournament, except one to two games. It is going to be the same now and I want my side to take the match.”
