Gabala ended the 32nd tour match of the Topaz Premier League against Garabagh in 1:1. After the winning streak of the last 8 games, the red-black side”s home draw fortified their place in the top 4 of the league table.

Gabala started to the match faster and went too close to the opener with Victor Mendy denied by the opponent keeper. Holding on, Garabagh could balance the course of the game developing into mutual attacks. The player from Senegal converted just inches off the net with a header after superb pass from Urfan Abbasov in the center. The deadlock was standstill even after some more pulsating threats.

It was Gabala restarting better again that led to 51st minute when Ricardinho set up Mendy one on one with the keeper. But the ball past just inches off the post. Just 4 minutes later, the deadlock was broken by long range travel of Garabagh”s Reynaldo, whose shot touched Rafael Santos and deflected in the net – 1:0.

Roman Grigorchuk”s side fed back in the closing minutes after foul on Mendy led to accurate penalty by Javid Huseynov – 1:1.
