Azerbaijan karate team are keeping up their successful run at the 3rd Islamic Solidarity Games in capital  Palembang of South Sumatra of Indonesia after gaining 2 golds and 2 silvers at individual fights. But this time with the team matches, the national squad including Gabala"s Rafael Aghayev and Rafiz Hasanov reached up to the highest stage on the honorary chairs beating Indonesia, Malaysia and Al Jazeera before the final match. At the all-important fight, Azerbaijan defeated Iran in 3:1 to earn their 3rd gold in Indonesia.

It is worth to remember Rafael Aghayev of the Gabala Sport Club winning gold a day before in an individual fight.
