Joining in Gabala just recently, Andrey Popovich talks about his first experience for the red-black side attending the Erzurum training camp in Turkey. He says to gabalafc.az:
“We are having two exercises a day and I have just newly joined Gabala after a short summer break. I am really glad to be a part of such a club promising for big targets.
I know some players since well before, as well as some Ukrainian footballers and coaches. It much helped be adjusted to the new team in a short period.
I have had a look at the training proceedings by keeper coach Andrey Glushenko. He much helped me fitting to the squad. I well understood before making a deal with Gabala that it would be a difficult challenge to keep pace with likes of Dmitri Bezotosny and Anar Nazirov. But sure the stronger will go more ahead. Now my target is to develop as a starting line-up keeper and have a chance of playing for the Azerbaijan national team.”
