Gabala have ended the 25th tour away of the Azerbaijan Premier League against Qarabagh in 0:0. The top two leaders of the championship were all for three points and the full time run with some many pulsating moments.

Head coach Roman Grigorchuk introduced line-up different from the cup match held against Inter Baku four days ago. The past tie’s Rasim Ramaldanov, Asif Mammadov, Mahammad Mirzabayov, Ricardinho, Roman Huseynov, Theo Weeks, Daniel Subotic and Rashad Eyubov stayed out of today’s line-up being changed by Rashad Sadigov, Nika Kvekveskiri, Sergei Zenjov, Ruslan Gurbanov, Javid Huseynov, Filip Ozobic, Urfan Abbasov and Tellur Mutallimov.

The pace of the match started by mutual attacks and Gabala looked a bit faster that seemed as a matter of time before Bagali Dabo seized on the opponent defense’s mistake and set up the first threat. But he saw his shot off the target. Later on, his second effort set up great pass his teammates failed to finish.

Then the French player went too close to coming one-on-one with the Qarabagh keeper but he was deflected by an opponent defender. The home side came to looking stepping up their attacks and gave some troubles to Dmytro Bezotosniy but our keeper held on clear. And Dino Ndlovu’s shot passed wide of goal.

Going more into the first half period, Gabala made one more threat when Ruslan Gurbanov’s header was off the target. Rashad Sadigov and Filip Ozobic failed to convert into a corner into the goal. And even a free kick earned by the Croatian in a promising position didn’t open the scoring.

Qarabagh’s defender Maksim Medvedev surged into Gabala’s defend and cut through some defenders before his shot was deflected.

The match restarted by the same scenario after the break but the sides were unable to set up threat in the early minutes. Later on, Qarabagh’s passion looked stronger with some pulsating moments. But Bezotosniy showed his value once again with some more great saves.

Grigorchuk introduced Daniel Subotic and Asif Mammadov to reinforce the line-up that worked out for more dynamism on Gabala’s forward line. And Ozobic’s free kick close to the box failed to be finished before Urfan Abbasov’s cross ended with a poor header by Subotic.

After the final whistle, the sides’ fourth tie of the season ended in a goalless draw.
