Gabala karate challenger Rafael Agayev, fighting also for the Azerbaijan national team, hit his next success gaining a silverware of the Karate 1 - Premier League in Paris, France. The 33-year-old fighter beat his five opponents developing into the final where he lost to Ken Nishimur from Japan. The five-time World Cup champion and ten-time Europa Champion, 75-kg, ended second among 756 challengers from 81 countries joined the tournament organized by the World Karate Federation in Paris.
