Gabala’s karate fighter Rafael Aghayev, challenging also for the Azerbaijan national team, has reached to the final round of the Paris Open Karate1 Premier League, France, at the Pierre de Coubertin stadium. The red-black hero, 75 kg, came on four matches in the first day of the contest. He won 7:2 on Ghulam-Abbas Saadi (Pakistan) and 2:0 on Enes Garibovic (Croatia). In the second fight, he got injured before beating also Yusei Sakiyama (Japan) by 5:0 with a charge by the referees after 1:1 draw. Then Aghayev got injured again in the challenge against Ali Asker Asiabari (Iran) and won the fight by 2:1.
Now the Gabala hero is going to face Japan’s Ken Nishimura in the all-important match tomorrow.
