Gabala hero Rafael Aghayev, challenging also for the Azerbaijan national karate team, won a gold medal of the Karate1 Premier League - Dubai 2018 in the United Arab Emirates. The 75-kg challenger beat his all opponents, as well as Gabor Harspatakin from Hungary in the final.

It’s worth to notice the tournament is the second of the seven similar class karate tournaments of the 2018 season and the championship was joined by 626 challengers from 74 countries.
