Gabala won over Ravan 1:0 in the 22nd tour of the Azerbaijan Premier League.
The sides started by mutual attacks. Roman Grigorchuk”s team pushed for taking the lead but Ravan held on and could set up the first threat of the show when Ramazan Abbasov was denied carefully by Dmytro Bezotosnyi.
Our Rashad Eyyubov”s opener with a powerful free-kick was canceled by the Ravan keeper in the 23rd minute.
Ravan”s further efforts came out with Ruslan Taghizadeh and Jamshid Maharramov, but the visiting keeper stated clear.
Gabala surged ahead right after the restart that led to a corner when the red-black side were too close to scoring with Oleksiy Gai”s header over the woodwork.
Gabala”s inroads worked out into more threats with Eyyubov and Zargarov, but they also were unable to score.
The Grigorchuk side could break the deadlock only in the 77th minute when Arif Dashdamirov fired in by 12-meter drive – 1:0. It was his first-ever goal for Gabala.
The visitors could have doubled their lead by Gai but he was not on the target.
Ravan pushed hard to leveling but Gabala ended as the better team reaching to their 3rd win that was registered also as the 6th away against the Baku team.
