Record details after beating Ravan

Now Gabala take the foothold in the first six emphatically beating Ravan with 4:0 – regardless of results by closing matches in qualifying round – at the 22nd round match of the Unibank Premier League on Saturday. With the three league wins on the trot, Kavlak's squad beat their record since joining the competition in the 2006/07 season. Just cast your mind back to Gabala's 2:1 victory on Khazar Lenkoran and 1:0 on Simurg respectively in the 21st and 20th league rounds. And beating Ravan earns Gabala fourth win trio to repeat the record made in 2007/08, 2009/10, and more two victories in 2010/11.

The superb scoring on Ravan also:

- allowed Gabala to gain our 26th big win, which is the first one in the current season, with only such kind of win in the Azerbaijan Cup.

- earns Gabala eleventh big win at outings: four, two and five in the First Division, Cup and Premier League respectively.

- entered our record path, which our 8:0 First Division win stays on the top. Gabala's biggest win from both total league and away matches is 6:0 over Ganjlarbirliyi in Sumgait.
