Gabala substitutes outclassed AZAL with 2:6 in away match of the Azerbaijan Reserve League. The last season’s champions, coached by Huseyngulu Guliyev, started faster and scored only one goal during the half with Ulvi Isgandarov’s 18-minute opener.
The game came to life after the restart with seven more goals. Gabala reached their lead up to four goals after Rovlan Muradov scored one and Ehtiram Shahverdiyev shot double. Then the home side could feed back one- 1:4. But Ramil Hasanov and Elvin Hasanov both found way into the opponent net. In the closing minutes, the team from Baku scored back one more to finish in 2:6.
The second high-scoring victory boosted the red-black team’s points to 17 to sit third on the league table.
