The Junior European Judo Cup has got underway in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. SC Gabala’s Rovshan Aliyev, fighting for the Azerbaijan national team, beat his all opponents and won the champion title. The red-black challenger, 55 kg, defeated Russian opponents Isa Elsikhanov and Shakhzod Amonov progressing into the semifinal. He won on another Russian challenger Timur Uyanayev gaining a tally to the all-important match where he defeated his teammate Balabay Aghayev.
