Gabala are reinforcing the first team with another new transfer Ruslan Abishov ahead of the 2014/15 season. The midfielder from Rubin of Russia signed a 6-month deal for Gabala to be the next after Ruslan Amirjanov, Andrei Cristea and Adrian Ropotan joined the club.

Ruslan was born on 10th October 1987 in Baku. He started as a professional footballer playing for Neftchi in 2006 and kept his time with this club up to 2012. Then he played for Khazar Lankaran during 2012/2013 before he was transferred to Rubin of Russia.

Abishov is one of the leading players of the Azerbaijan national team where he scored 4 goals in 39 appearances.
