Gabala took 1:0 away victory on Sabah in the 16th tour of the Azerbaijan Premier League.
 
Sanan Gurbanov’s team gave a quick start to the match led to first threat by Rauf Aliyev denied by the host keeper. Then attacks by Sabah followed counter attacks from Gabala finished with the opener with Aliyev. This was registered as the forward’s second goal   over the season. In the stoppage time, Sabah’s Marko Devic was forced off from the pitch after a second yellow card.

It was Gabala keeping up the lead again after the half-time. Davit Volkovi gave some more troubles to the home side but was unable to score. Rauf could have scored his double with a close-range shot finished off-target. Two more pulsating threats by James Adeniji and Lalavele Atakora also were unable to double Gabala’s lead. And the scoresheet was not change until the final whistle.
