Gabala have played in a goalless draw against Sabail in the last league match of the year within the 14th tour.

Sanan Gurbanov’s team took a better start to the game led to early threat, in the 2nd minute, after Tamkin Khalilzadeh’s long cross found Rauf Aliyev coming one-on-one with the keeper. Bu the forward was unable to capitalize on the ball and missed his chance. Ten minutes later, Aliyev gained one more momentum before his powerful shot was off-target.

The opponent side looked setting up attacks, too, from the right. But our defense held on. At times, Rauf’s header was dined by the opponent keeper. Later on, more efforts by Rauf, James Adeniyi, Steeven Monroze and Javid Huseynov were unable to open the scoring. And our keeper Dmytro Bezotosniy game some great saves to his teammates before the half-time.

After the break, Monroze went too close to breaking the deadlock but saw his shot tipped wide. Lalavele Atakora telegraphed to Adeniyi failed to finish in. Another trouble was set up by Gabala’s Gismat Aliyev with a free-kick gone off-target. The the second period  changed into mutual attacks and Bezotosniy held on clear again.

After the final whistle, Gabala finished the year with the second goalless draw on the trot.
