SC Gabala added one more transfer to the first team signing a one-year deal with Andrew William Halliday from Scotland during the preparations ahead of the next 2017/2018 season. The midfielder arrives after Ilgar Gurbanov, Agil Mammadov, Elvin Mammadov, Spanish Javier Hernandez Gonzales, French Steeven Joseph-Monrose and Dutch Dion Malone.

Being known as Andy Halliday, was born on October 31, 1991. The 26-year-old played for Ross Kaunti, Reyncers and Livinqston in age groups before giving a start to his professional football career in 2008. He fielded also for Livingston (Scotland - 2008-2010), Middlesbrough (United Kingdom - 2010-2015), Walsall (United Kingdom - 2011-2012), Blackpool (United Kingdom - 2014) and Bradford (England - 2014-2015). Andy joined Rangers in 2015 and spent his last two seasons in this club.
