Shukurov won bronze in European Judo Cup

Gabala”s Jalil Shukurov, challenging also for the Azerbaijan national judo team, hit the bronze medal of the European Judo Cup in Madrid, Spain. The Gabala hero, 100 kg, came on the canvas on the last day of the contest joined by 255 fighters from 26 countries.
 
In his first-leg match, he beat Carlos Antonio Gomes Rodrigues before losing to Clement Delvert. Joining the consolation matches, he knocked out another Spaniard Serxio Trilyo Valerio and then won over Philip Awiti Alcaraz in 2 minutes and 14 seconds to hit the 3rd place.
