Michele: Actually it is not so much hot place where we live in the south of Brazil. Differing from Azerbaijan, south is colder than north in our state. At times, it cools down to -5 even we have snow one or two times a year. But really Gabala is colder than our place and it is no problem.
- When have you been at home last time?Michele: Diego saw the home in this June last time. But me and the kids were there in 2010.
- Are you adopted into the life style in Azerbaijan? Senior Diego: It is not difficult for us to live off the home land as we have been living abroad for long. And we always try for new things in the style of living. It is good traveling, seeing new countries, cities, meeting with new people and culture. We came to Azerbaijan after living in Portugal for a long time. The people in Azerbaijan also are hospitable.
- It is almost 5 months you are here in Azerbaijan. What do you know about the country?Michele: Just before coming here, Diego asked my collecting some information about the country. Then I got that it is an Islamic country. We learned many about your up-to-date situation, history, mode of life and more about many others. And we got that Azerbaijan is a new world to live.
Senior Diego: We like both Baku and Gabala, which are getting more beautiful regularly. Sure Gabala is special with its fascinating nature and clear climate.
- How did you met with each other? I mean the love...Senior Diego: It was 3 August in 1998 when I saw Michele for first at a high school graduation party she was attending. We met just there.
- Being a footballer about Diego, how did it affect to your choice to him? How did you feel as you knew that a footballer have quite different mode of life as you can not see him much at home?Michele: We married after knowing each other for 5 years. Now I am very happy with my husband and family.
- And what about the Gabala choice? Michele: With the first impression on the offer, we thought about our kids and their education. Because both them go to school. We were in Barcelona when we got the offer from Azerbaijan. And it was me saying yes first for living in a new country.
Now the kids study in Baku. We all can meet on weekends and it is big care that the club administration provides for us. Such care helps Diego to focus on football.
-Lorenzo, is she good at school? Lorenzo: I got many friends in Azerbaijan. I go to the British School in Baku. I am learning English and know a little in Azerbaijani, too. I wish to work at a television in the future. I will travel all around the world after learning English.
-- Which field does your son tend to? Does he wish to be a footballer?Michele: My son also wishes to be a keeper like his father. He played for Sporting and Vitoria of Portugal and even was chosen a keeper of the year when we lived there.
But we are still thinking if it worth to make him go on with football in Azerbaijan.
-What kind of a man is Diego off the pitch? How could you characterize him?Michele: Diego is not a difficult man. It is really easy to get on with him. He likes to be with his family and he likes fishing, as well as computer games.
