Some news reporters mistakenly write on interview by Gabala”s head coach Roman Grigorchuk as if warring about football pitches in the country. They even appears linking their reports to the Ukrainian and Latvian mass medias.

But in fact, the Ukrainian coach has not been interviewed by any media outlets, saying to gabalafc.az:

“I was much surprised by those reports and be sure that they are not the truth. But if someone needs my opinion about the fields in Azerbaijan, I would say there are some many pitches responding to world standards in Baku.

We see this also during trips for domestic league matches. Particularly, Bakcell Arena. I think many sports facilities deserve really good words in the capital city.

My only concern is about artificial pitches which are not in a good condition, with exception for some fields.

Following Gabala”s stadium, we really have a good facilities, pitches. All are on high level".
