AFFA Diciplinary Committee has charged Gabala players to punished after the Azerbaijan Premier League’s 20th tour away last Thursday. SC Gabala reacted to the issue with application requesting AFFA Appeal and Expert Committee to review the issue again. Forbiddance against our footballer Nika Kvekveskiri for the next three matches is more than punishment as it is well clear in the video replay that even most tough referee would pick up two yellow cards against our player. The video clearly shows that Kvekveskiri gave his instinctive reaction to Gurbanov’s unexpected behavior and just pushed him by hand to defend himself. There is no any other aggressive behavior during the case and even after it. SC Gabala’s protest against the AFFA decision is written in the match protocol. We consider the decision is extremely tough and should be reduced to minimum.
Moreover, Gabala officials Sabuhi Garayev, Samad Nasibov, Sabuhi Safiyarly and Zaur Azizov have been punished by fine by the AFFA Discipline Committee very highly after the referee staff’s report with interested reasons.
The protest of our colleagues is fact, but this is has not extended to physical behavior and the referees were accompanied to the changing room when linesman Rza Mammadov insulted our club using immoral word against the club, which led to growing the turmoil up then.
It is not understatement than referees AFFA officials admitted the truth that referees made too many wrong charges against Gabala in the past of the season. But we had never aggressive response.
Especially, it is difficult to imagine what makes Aliyar Aghayev, drawing a good attention in European fields, go for mistakes against Gabala. It is important to notice that his questionable red card against Kvekveskiri is the fourth in the last two seasons. Just cast your mind back to the match against Zira (2:2) two tours earlier when the FIFA referee and his staff was a significant reason to the two points that we lost. His such undesirable operation on the pitch is a tough strike to his reputation his and AFFA’s influence.
Gabala Sport Club is always all for a honest football and still keeping our hope that the eight tours of the Azerbaijan Premier League ahead will go by honnest rules.
