Gabala have ended the 29th tour away of the domestic league in 1:1 against Sumgayit. The pace of the game started by mutual attacks before Roman Grigorchuk”s squad gained a little lead. This led to early threat with Samir Zargarov being off the target from position close to the spot.

Later Gabala”s another chance went out of the goal when Ermin Zec gave a great kick found Oleksiy Gai who was offside.

The red-black side”s lead was evident also by farther efforts as Sumgayit looked unable to set occasions. The visitors pushed hard to the 26th minute when Rashad Sadigov telegraphed to Sergei Zenyov, whose header could get in the net.

The home side were all to make a pulsating attempt but and went too close to this with Slavik Alkhasov”s shot dined by Dmytro Bezotosny.

Grigorchuk introduced Asif Mammadov to the second period replacing Zargarov on the forward. The change prompted Gabala to step up their inroads into the Sumgayit defense but Zec and Zenjov were unable to break the deadlock with their pulsating efforts.

And the dynamism worked out to scoring the opener on 66 minutes with Arif Dashdamirov gave a great pass to Gai surging ahead through the opponent defense and kicking in. This was the 7th goal of the midfielder’s all 14 for Gabala.

The Grigorchuk team made some more efforts to double their lead but the home side looked faster than Gabala and scored to level after a penalty when the referee pointed to the spot as Dashdamirov touched Pardis Farcad-Azad in the box. The latter shot in 1:1.

With the final whistle, Gabala ended in the 2nd draw after the last tour”s goalless draw against Inter.
