Gabala gained 5 medals from the taekwondo championship of Azerbaijan. Majid Sofiyev (54 kg) earned a gold medal while Sanan Mehtiyev (63 kg) and Ali Akhundov (68 kg) hit the 3rd places.

At the women”s 57-kg competition, Dilara Hasanova earned a bronze medal just like Gunay Aghayeva (53 kg).

So, with 1 gold and 4 bronze medals, Gabala are sitting 5th on the team ranking list of the contest.
