SC Gabala President Tale Heydarov left the club thirteen years after he took a charge on the job in 2006. He made the club’s way through Azerbaijan Premier League medals progressing into the UEFA EL’s group stage for two seasons. Heydarov believes the club will go on to progress onto higher levels, saying:
“It was really gratifying to see the club’s successful go over the thirteen years. Now it’s time to drop the job to someone for further achievements. I appreciate the club stuff, footballers and especially fans for driving the club to today’s high level and wish them all the bests on their way”.
Gabala Football Academy established in 2009 was as a part of the club’s greatest accomplishments. Its progress is evident with the national U21 football team that Gabala responds to 40 percent of the player need. The red-black club is also a provider for different national age groups.
The club’s vice-president Fariz Najafov shares his first impression about Heydarov’s resignation, saying:
We appreciate Heydarov for his toil over thirteen years. He hit achievements for the club going ahead as an institution of sports. His projects on developing Gabala’s facilities made the club one of the football centers across the country. Heydarov guided Gabala great successes also in other sport fields. Now we are ahead of the new stage of the progress and focused on new targets. We wish all the bests to Heydarov after all.”
Heydarov’s resignation will not affect to the plan of opening Ronaldinho Football Academy in Baku as this project is an integral tie between Heydarov and the Azerbaijan football.
