U11 ended 9th in Poland

Gabala U11 have ended Murapol Cup in Krakow, Poland, as the ninth. They lost to Jagiellonia Bialystok (Poland) by 0:1 before defeating Lechia Gdansk with 2:0. Gabala’s goals were scored by Ughur Kishiyev and Huseyn Khasmammadli. Going more into the contest, Shahruz Mustafayev’s team shared a goalless draw with Heerenveen (Netherlands) before losing to Chicago Eagles (USA). In the last match of the group stage, Gabala defeated to Manchester United (UK) with 2:0. Gabala finished the group stage fifth with four points after five matches.

In the last day of the tournament, Gabala played for the places of 9th-12th facing Rux (Poland) and ending the full time with 1:1. The red-black team’s single goal was scored by Aykhan Amiraslanly. Then the match went to a penalty shootout ended in the favor of Gabala.

Later on, the red-black squad won on Gurnik with 2:1 and earned the ninth place. Our goals were scored by Hazrat Samadov. The team were awarded with a cup as head coach Shahruz Mustafayev and footballer Rasul Mirzayev were presented a special award by outstanding football figures of Poland Miroslav Shimkovyak and Tomas Frankovski. The tournament’s trophy was taken by Dynamo Kiev winning on CFR Cluj (Romania) and the third place was gained by Jagiellonia Bialystok.
