Gabala coach Zaur Hashimov talks for a post-match reaction right after the 2:0 loss to Dinamo Tbilisi in the UEFA Europa League’s 2nd Qualifying Round. He says:
“We played against a strong team. After the analyze, it was clear to us they are a well-prepared team in good physical form. It was evident on the pitch.
Gabala footballer Ivitsa came on his first match for our team. And Devit was injured as some overseas players are new in the team.
We could set up all the occasions only after long crosses. We were planning short passes behind the opponents on our forward. Although it worked out for some times, we were unable to convert them into the goal.
Today, Ulvi Isgandarov is in a good form and it was evident with his goal against Ukrainian teams in the trial matches. But maybe he was a little anxious in his fir UEFA EL experience.
We are going to the away match only for a victory. There are some young players from the Gabala Football Academy. The legionaries joined up the team late. But anyway you are going to see better and potential Gabala over the season”.
