Gabala senior officials gave post-match reaction after the 1:0 victory on Sumgayit within the 15th tur of the Azerbaijan Premier League. The club’s press service manager Anar Hajiyev talks about the head coach issue:

“One of the top measures in the UEFA licensing is Pro class that every head coach has to have. But Gabala’s head coach Sanan Gurbanov is carrying A. So we had to make some changes in the coaching staff and Zaur Hashimov was charged as a head coach but only on documents of the club. And Gurbanov will go on as the team’s head coach. We made this decision as there is no expectation about the Pro class courses until 2020 both in Azerbaijan and post-Soviet region”.

Hashimov added:

“I’ve been working with my best for Gabala in a short period since I joined the club. It’s nice to be a part of the club and all the charge is still on Sanan Gurbanov and you can point all questions about the match to him again.”

Gurbanov went to the post-match reaction saying:

“We had prepared really well to the game after all good trainings both in Baku and Antalya. And trial matches also helped rising up confidence about the year’s first tie. We gained a vital victory against a strong and fast side. But we had analyzed the opponents and my team well responded to the tasks. Javid Huseynov has a great skill as a captain. We will analyze the match in deep to remove the shortages and mistakes to be full again for the next tie.

Amin Seydiyev showed his value in the preparations. He seemed as a promising footballer although not playing today. I got satisfied by him”.
