Gabala coach Sanan Gurbanov talks to media right after the 1:0 home win over Zira in the twelfth tour of the Azerbaijan Premier League today. He says:

“When we were preparing to this match and analyzing Zira’s events, it was well evident the opponent side were getting better game by game. But we came on the pitch just for three points and hit this after a tough work. Last tour, Gabala were unable to win although they set up many occasions. But today, we have done a great job.

When you focus on attacking display for a long time, you give some spaces in the back lines and this opens possibilities to opponents. Such moments came out during this tie, too, and we tried to respond to head coach Roman Grigorchuk’s tasks then. If he was in the technical area, Gabala would show better result. It is been several years we have been working together and I know his vision. So I did not feel any need to call him. 

Now we have to be more disciplined in our performance if we are to stand for progressing into upcoming games. Our all injured players are back with the team and we are going to come on in our full strength.”
