Gabala footballer İlgar Gurbanov talks to gabalafc.az sharing details about the preseason preparation, as well as the Slovenia training camp’s first day. The midfielder says:

“We are taking on really interesting and high-level trainings. I’ve trained only two days of the preparations’ first stage because of the national team matches. We have to work out more as we are a short time away from the first tie within the UEFA EL fixed to July 12. 

You see no weak opponents in UEFA cups and we have to work really hard against Progres. You have to consider opponents as a stronger side. It doesn’t matter you come on the first tie at home or away. The more important is that you have to be in a good form. I took a break only over six or seven days after the season ended as I joined the national team. So you don’t lose your form in this short time of break and I believe to be able to regain my form soon.

There will be a trial match ahead and we have to be all for a good preparation before facing Progres. First games always seem hard and this was evident in a match against Yagelloniya ast season. We have to work really hard and not think about the opponents much. We need to be focused on our own work more.”
