Gabala coach Sanan Gurbanov talks to media reporters just a day before the first tie against Progres (Luxemburg) on Thursday within the UEFA EL’s 1st Qualifying Round. The 38-year-old boss says:

“It’s really nice to enjoy the EL atmosphere again. This is quite different feelings. Our team are having high spirits and working out for the target. It’s not a good experience for us as captain Javid Huseynov is off the team. He left the preparations because of his injury. 

Sabien Lilay has joined the team earlier than all new transfer while the other two new footballers started to the trainings in Slovenia. They say the warm atmosphere helped them much to be adopted to the team. Sure we still need time to progress more.

We have analyzed the opponent deeply and know them as a strong side. They are a disciplined team and show a good teamwork in a defense. But anyway we will come on the pitch just for a victory like in every game. Gabala are a promising side. We play mostly in attacking display but don’t forget to be defended, too.”
