Ramil Hasanov and Farid Nabiyev were a part of the 1:0 victory over AZAL in the Azerbaijan Cup round of eight in their debute for the A team last Wednesday. Coming on the pitch in the second half of the match, the young players were added to the list of Gabala footballers so far as, respectively, 210th and 211th in the list. Seventeen-year-old Nabiyev shares his impression talking to gabalafc.az:

“I am really happy to make my debut for the first team. Thanks to all the coaching staff for having trust in me. To be honest, I felt a bit nervous in my early minutes. But I was quite ready to my first experience and it was not unexpected to me as every footballer should be ready to get foothold in the line-up of eighteen. Sure I would like to get on the field earlier for a longer chance. The AZAL Arena’s grass was not in a good condition and so the it was really difficult to win after missing some many occasions”. 

Preparing in the training camp for the national U19 today, Nabiyev targets to stay stuck with the A team after the winter break. He adds: 

“I will be in the training camp until January 22 and will be unable to join the team during the winter break. But after getting back to Gabala, I’ll be pushing harder to fortifying in the first team. It depends on me and what I need on the üay to A team now is just to work harder.”
