The Topaz Premier League are leaving into the winter break after the 18th tour matches. Now things are on hold ahead of the 3rd round to start on the 1st February 2014, when Gabala will visit Sumgayit.

Just before getting into the break, head coach of Gabala Yuri Semin talks about the results of the half season. The Russian says to gabalafc.az:

“We finished the half period in the highest mood. My players made me be proud of the performance playing in their best. The team really well responded to the task. Being on top of the league table makes it evident that all tried with their bests for the match. It prompts us to go on with the domestic championship with our passion.

It is good with the first round to gain more points than the second as it show how well we are going up.

“We have to seek no difference between opponent teams and keep winning also in the second period. Just remember our struggles against both Neftchi and Garabagh that we lost all, but we kept dynamic of the events level in all games. It seems evident also by minimal scores in favor of the opponents. So there is no threats and we need just to keep going”.

Semin sees some reinforcement during the winter break. He adds:

“Sure, we need to rise up the number of domestic players in the team. Gabala may be stronger after the winter reinforcement".
