Gabala lost to Zira by 1:0 in away match within the 7th tour of the Azerbaijan Premier League at the Dalgha Arena, Baku. The sides started investigating each other going to mutual attacks at times. Then Gabala seemed keeping more spaces. But the red-black team, coached by Sanan Gurbanov, could set up only two threats in the first period. Seeing opponent defenders lost, Asif Mammadov gave a powerful shot denied by the keeper. Before the break, Rasim Ramaldanov’s poor header passed wide of the goal.

After the restart, Zira opened the scoring. The goal prompted Gabala to step up their attacks, but they were unable to level.
